NEW: "(nr/N2S)" MEANS a release that still falls within the 2005 REPORTING
AS NEW, tho has been out for a while, AND IS NEW TO OUR JAZZ LIBRARY!!

NEW: "(HOTP") = "HOT OFF THE PRESS" --- received by The KRFC Jazz Dep't. in
the LAST 2 (TWO) WEEKZZ! Yeah, yeah, yeah it's on borrowed time.

NEW: There is now a form in "the CardBoard JAZZ CD receivin' BOX" in The
Mail CD/Record Library (on the shelf) that documents (when YOU record so)
	info about a newly arrived CD, like: when it wqas rec'd; who rec'd it;
artist; CD Title; label &/or distributor; "STREET"/"ADD" date; & if it's
been catalogues & entered into the Jazz Library!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please lemme kno if this helps or hinders. If you input a new CD, & there's
	a face/marketing sheet, please dupe it & leave one copy in the "JAZZ Box";
put a 2nd copy in Mr. MD's bottom (big) right-hand desk drawer (you'll see
other Jazz Mareketin' sheetzz); & keep one for yourself if desired. I'm
workin' on geetin' a couple of binders for this to KEEP US TOGETHER!

JAZZ DEP'T: THANX TO MR. MD, THE PATRON SAINT OF THE JAZZ DEP'T! We've
increased our Library space (in Mr. MD's office by moving to the back wall.
Further, we been granted temporarily (& hopefully for an extended period of
time) a 3rd shelf ( 2 CONTIGUOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ones) in the RED
STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!! Check them out, use them to all broadcasters advantage, &
fill 'em (keepin' the rotation fresh & current).

I'll FOLLOW this e-mail w/ The Jazz Dep't's. suggested top 15 (or so) of
	the week of which Mr. MD will pick 10. This system is a work in progress;
nuthin'zz in concrete --- so don't get cement all over me (get it?!).

THE SYSTEM IS NOT IN PLACE --- YET, and after the obvious choice(s) of
reported plays based on sheer number is(are) made, i.e. if a cut is played
twice or more, there is then to be reported the "ties", i.e. those plays
with one that any of us are jazzed about & want reported to "CMJ" etc.

SO..............let's try each of us multiply starring on our play lists
our THREE (3) most DJ picked/played of the week. Then I can choose from
those when I forward our "WEEKLY TOP 10" to Mr. MD, because that is
apparently all that gets reported. OK?, if not, I'm open to your ideas.

ALL THE RED STUDIO SHELLS HAVE BEEN CULLED & ALPHABETIZED!!!! PLEASE KEEP
THEM THAT WAY, & TEMPORARILY PARALYZE ANYONE YOU CATCH NOT
	DOING THESAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. If there's a CD you want back in THE RED STUDIO, by all means retrieve
it. If there's a RED STUDIO CD that belongs in The Main Library, by all
	means put it there.

***** N.B.1: A NEW CD into The Jazz Library doesn't mean it's necessarily
	a NEW RELEASE, i.e. 2005-2006. If it's NOT 2005 & 2006 (aka 2004 or
earlier, e.g. Peter Leitch's, "AutoBioGraphy") NO NEED to document as "N" =
"NEW". It won't appear in the playlists below if documented oversightedly
as "N" ="NEW". NO PROBLEM other than it won't appear below EVEN if it's a
terrific new CD to the library. Maybewe need a separate circulated list or
designation, like "NEW CD - NOT CURRENT = NCD/NC"?

N.B 1B: RED STUDIO shelves are for "Hot Picks", "Up-Coming Gigzz", & last
60 DAYS --- that's DAYS. ALL (some MIA & need to be added) NEW CD'zz into
The Library are NOW DATED witharrival date.

N.B 2: THE NEW SHELVING GEOGRAPHY is that the shelf (middle of the back
wall) to your left is for CD's up to 60 DAYS old. The date on the CD'zz
will inform when 60 DAYS are up & they're to be culled & shelved in THE
PERMANENT LIBRARY in Mr. MD's (Music Director's[Louis'] Office --- everyone
can do this). The shelf to your right (and from left to right) is
for:"DJ'zz Pickzz/Hot Pickzz" (any of us can so designate); "New Arrivals
Into The Station", & CD'zz for artists whose gigzz are up-coming that we
like to which we'd like to inform our listeners. THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE MORE
	USER FRIENDLY. ANY IDEAS
??????????????????????????????????????????????????

NEW RELEASES --- SEE BELOW "(NR)" designation after artists' name(s)---
	Plus year] when it's a re-issue ---

N.B. 3: ALL NEW CD's --- NEW RELEASES ---(designated "NR"), also "FTV"
(From The Vaults" [meaning old material]) & & "R-I" (Just Released) IN THE
LIBRARY WILL BE SHARPIE-MARKED WITH DATE OF ARRIVAL/CATALOGUING SO WE CAN
KEEP TRACK OR THEIR LIFE SPAN ON THE VARIOUS SHELVES.

*** Remember to mark "S/V" COLUMN on your "Playlist" --- "V" (Compilations,
Anthologies, Samples, & Various) & "S" (Movie Scores).

LOUIS & TJD (The Jazz Dep't): "PC" means my own (your own) Personal Copy.
Please mark "PC" when it's our own person copies --- ESPECIALLY NEW
RELEASES --- so we can do our best to get them in THE JAZZ LIBRARY!CAN WE
GET ON THOSE LABELS??????????????????????? =(I've been WORKING HARD on
	this).

EXTRA N.B: --- A personal request: PLEASE, PLEASE, Please do your best to
use existing or new "post-its" to record "spins/plays" in the liner notes
of CD's. It helps me(& hopefully you all as well to either diversify or
concentrate	plays). P.S. I MEAN YOU: GENE & JIM YOU ARE
LAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!! Thanx in advance.
Also, please mark 2004 & 2005 NEW releases CLEARLY. They're THE SPINS THAT
	COUNT!!!!

***** Personally, I think THE KRFC JAZZ DEP'T IS DOING A SWELL JOB.
	Congratzz to us.

	!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REMEMBER: Artist(s) --- "Play" --- "Release" --- Label
	!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE --- *****PLEASE CLEARLY MARK --- ****"NEW"****. THIS
MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE REGARDING THE LABELS SENDING US NEW RELEASES!

(NR/NPR[]) = (NEW RELEASES, NOT PREVIOUSLY RECORDED[date of recording])

Do your best to play b/t 1/3 - 1/2 new releases to keep being gifted by
	labels! And we're doing it!

	P.S. NEW RELEASES --- (NR) --- are 2006 (late 2005 OK).
