This week on Listen Here! The Public Radio Jazz Review at
www.listenhereradio.com <http://www.listenhereradio.com/> , Neil and Mark
are joined by Jean Bach, the producer and director of the documentary film
"A Great Day In Harlem," to coincide with the movie's release on DVD.
Pianist and composer Bob James stops by to talk about his new album, the
importance of Quincy Jones to his early career, making records on his own
and with the group Fourplay, and how he came to write the theme to the hit
TV show "Taxi." Mark reports on "Showcase," the CD/DVD compilation of the
best performances from the PBS television show "Legends of Jazz" with Ramsey
Lewis. Neil reviews the new release from Mimi Fox, a two-disc set that
features the gifted guitarist in a quartet setting and performing solo. And
on our listening quiz "For Your Ears Only," in honor of May Day, Neil and
Mark use their game to honor the unheralded workers of jazz, the bassists
and drummers

We invite programmers to check out Listen Here! Now with 80 stations on
