Providence, RI (AHN) - Monaco's Prince Albert will visit Rhode Island for a
concert that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the film in which his
mother Princess Grace, then Grace Kelly, had acted in. The Jazz festival
opens Friday night and continues thru the weekend.

The musical comedy named "High Society" was Kelly's last before she married
Prince Rainier III of Monaco. The movie screened stars like Frank Sinatra
and Bing Crosby.

In the film, a musical remake of the "The Philadelphia Story," Kelly plays
Tracy Lord, a wealthy heiress who is about to marry a bland businessman but
finds herself being romanced by her ex-husband (Crosby) as well as the
tabloid magazine reporter (Sinatra) assigned to report on her wedding.

The 48-year-old Prince and the only son of Kelly and Prince Rainier III,
Albert has been invited by the Carnegie Abbey Club.

A private dinner-dance gala for Albert is planned at Marble House,
constructed as a Vanderbilt family summer "cottage," where "High Society"
will be screened in different rooms.

Founded in 1954 and now formally known as the JVC Jazz Festival-Newport,
the Friday night's concert is a tribute to Sinatra. Guitarist and vocalist
John Pizzarelli will perform at the fest.

In a telephone interview with the AP, Pizzarelli said, "There's an extra,
added excitement to the whole thing."

"It's more than just a music story, it seems, at this point," he added.

Albert has made headlines in the last year after admitting that he fathered
two children out-of-wedlock.
