Hello Eric,

I know that the Jazztet, I believe that was the name for the Benny Golson, Art Farmer, McCoy Tyner, Addison Farmer and I can't remember the drummer's name group recorded Killer Joe. Philly Joe Jones used it as his theme song. Maybe that's the connection with Miles.

I know of no commercial recording of this by Miles.

Quincy Jones did a famous version that I haven't heard in awhile. If I recall
it was a popular version with several guest soloist.
