[JPL] Terri Hinte's departure from Fantasy Records

Just caught up with this news, and I'm disappointed about the loss to the 
jazz community, saddened by what this means for Terri personally 
(freelancing is a challenging road) and perplexed by Concord's seemingly 
uninformed business strategy: What on earth did the company gain by taking 
this action?

Terri is a consummate professional, and one of the best jazz publicists I've 
had the pleasure to work with over the years.

I concur with the headline ("Fantasy diminished ..."). I can't think of a 
worse move for Concord than to unceremoniously ditch someone as 
knowledgable, insightful and cognizant of the history of the music as Terri.

Rumsey says the label is "not trying to alienate jazz aficionados." Oops, 
too late.
