i must not be listening to the same radio station as kate as this 
makes no sense...how much have you listened before and after?  the 
station IS
going through transition of sorts but no one should be concerned that 
one of
America's jazz beacons is now nearly a smooth jazz outlet.  so far i'd 
some better some and some perhaps less good.
actually i ve heard more examples of stretching recently than i ever 
there for quite some time.

I agree with Ricky (did I just say that ?). I was pretty skeptical 
about the station changing management, although I had been assured S. 
Levine and Co. had paid their dues many times over..so far so good..the 
station is sounding brighter, the jocks mellow, the programming slots 
varied...I'd say they were off to an excellent start...
