I'm starting to wonder just how much this over exposure of Wynton is benefiting jazz vs him......Is it really helping jazz in the views of those on this list? He's an articulate and highly informed spokesperson for this great music but there are others as well. The name game is everywhere now from TV to radio to print publications to the Grammys. If you weren't established years ago you don't seem to have a chance in hell today regardless of your talent. The other part of this is that at least there is someone in a high profile position that can speak about the beauty and importance of jazz....to millions of folk.

I'll also give Wynton his due......the new CD is fabulous!. The writing, vision, recording quality and performances. Top notch.
