An egg cream which has no eggs nor cream is a regional NYC area beverage,
start off with  a tall glass, pour and ounce or 2 of milk, add chocloate
syrup, Fox's U-Bet from Brooklyn is the best for this, add seltzer as you're
stirring and voila! an egg cream.  An even stranger concotion from my
childhood is condensed milk with malta(a non-alcoholic thick malt carbonated
drink popular in the Caribbean), this is very nutritous and was often given
to pregnant, nursing women and the enfermed.
