We tossed Tascam many years ago as they started giving problems and
repair/warranty in Australia was a joke. We went to Sony domestic single
play models which cost nothing and worked perfectly for three or four
years and which time we passed them onto station members for home use.
Of course Sony stopped importing them and we have gone to Denon with
reasonable success. I look forward to the feedback.

This week's sponsor: Chico Hamilton hits w/ ''It's About Time! EP'' on
''My first recording as a leader was a trio with Howard Roberts on
guitar and George Duvivier on bass- a 10'' LP made for Pacific Jazz in
1955. This album was virtually the first recording made with the focus
on the members of the rhythm section as lead instruments. Fifty- three
years later we've recorded 'It's About Time!' in the same trio format
with Cary DeNigris on guitar and Paul Ramsey on bass. These two
brilliant players are my right hand and my left hand.''

We are having terrible skipping problems with our CD players, Tascam
professional models, in master control. Our new friendly engineer says
CD players skip and that he spoke with other stations and Jazzworks at
NAB and people are using these and they are skipping. Remember when
meant something good?
But I say this is VERY bad and I'm wondering if anyone has something
working. We will eventually be on hard drive but that is not happening
month so I'm looking for a solution.
Also does anyone know if stacking them 3 in a row is a problem. We turn
them off at night and are really only running them for 5 hours straight,
24. We have some old Re-Vox, in production that work pretty well, but
are almost 20 years old and have some mechanical problems. Of course
don't make those anymore.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
