I too listened to that disc today and I definitely heard Gladys, Etta
James and Dinah. I loved how the arrangements are pretty defined yet her
blues, pop and jazz influences come through, sometimes in the same verse.

This week's sponsor: JazzWeek Summit 2009 -- dates and venue to be
announced in August; registration opens in September.

Jae Sinnett mentioned how much he liked Robin's new CD. I'm listening to
it now for the first time. It does sound good.

Just a thought, when I listened to her sing "I Want To Be Loved" I was
reminded of another vocalist that I really like. Just on that one tune
she reminds me of Gladys Knight. Just curious to see if anyone else
heard what I'm hearing.
