Re musicians who played different instruments:
A great musician from Chicago spent over a year in Winnipeg
back in the '70s and blew us all away with his amazing skills on saxes,
trumpet, piano, played a little bass, and probably could hold his
own on drums. His name was Tommy Ponce -- died in the late
'80s I think.
Tommy always raved about Ira Sullivan. It's easy to see that
Any midwesterners remember Tommy? I'd love to find something
on record by him.
