beautiful summary of Freddie's  memorial:


Freddie's long-time friend from grade school is Phil Ranelin, fabulous  
trombonist, who played with Freddie for many years. "Trumpetister," Clora  Bryant, 
also made some poignant remarks and sang to Freddie. i believe it was  Patrice 
who played on the stunning Sunflower ensemble.
