I thought Steve Turre and Poncho Sanchez were Mexican.....

Here¹s what I received:

Ernie Caceres was born in Texas but he and his two brothers were of Mexican
descent and were active in jazz. Ernie was with Glenn Miller most
prominently but also w, Goodman, Hackett, Teagarden, Tell him to look at
page 103 in he Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz. IRA Gitler
