Eric Alan Radio 2000 eric at jazzrendezvous.co.za
Thu Apr 1 01:13:41 EDT 2010

Greetings from the southern tip of Africa and the wonderful city of Cape
Town Fellow JPLers,

Firstly I am very extremely pleased to announce that my contract has once
again been renewed by Radio 2000 and the SABC for my programme JAZZ
RENDEZVOUS. The show has been allocated more airtime for the next contract
period. The show continues on as is usual on Sundays from 18h00 to 21h00 in
addition, the show will now be broadcast on Saturday evenings from 18h00 to
21h00. Saturday evenings show will focus more on the contemporary, smooth,
fusion electric styles whilst Sunday¹s will focus on the mainstream,
straight ahead acoustic side of the jazz spectrum.

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival takes place over this coming
Easter Weekend thus there is a huge buzz in the town and country and it also
see¹s one of the world¹s major and most beautiful road running ultra
marathons, The Two Oceans, also taking place. The city is is filled with
people from Africa and the world and offers wonderful hospitality to all who
visit. I hope that next year we will see you coming for the CTIJF.

Thanks to all on this list for the support and interaction over the years of
my membership of the JPL, it remains a vital and necessary resource for all
who are part of, involved and love this crazy world of jazz. Please find my
playlists below.
