A personal smattering of some favorite 2010 releases - there was such an
outstanding crop of releases this year that I'll probably have to keep
smattering through January (at least). Worth noting are some outstanding
labels which have produced a consistently high quality of releases in
documenting the regional scene, this year, in the past and into the future
like *Origin Records, Songlines, Drip Audio,* and *Cellar Live*.

Nods to two of the musicians who passed this year, *Billy Taylor* and *Hadley
Caliman*. Finished off the show with three musicians performing this week at
the Cellar, *Cory Weeds* on new year's eve, *Seamus Blake* on Wednesday Jan
5th (tonight!) and *Cat Toren* on Thursday Jan 6th.

Upcoming on the A-Trane, January 7th an interview with *Ian
Hendrickson-Smith* in advance of his performance at the Cellar (Jan 7/8) and
January 14th an interview with *Jesse Cahill* in advance of the *Night
Crawlers*' CD release party at the Cellar (Jan 14/15). And more looks back
and looks forward and looks around, eyes open for the New Year!

N.
