Curious as to what you think of this idea..."fingerprinting." It's a thought if it's possible to implement.  "Fingerprinting in theory usually can permit any entity (such as the artists rights organizations that pay our royalties like ASCAP & BMI) to track the content of any airplay or streaming broadcast by recognizing a digital finger print created from a quick random sample of the 0s & 1s that comprise any digital audio file. These samples are unique to every audio file making them virtually immediately identifiable by the fingerprinting software. And unlike other id methods fingerprinting does not have to be included @ the manufacturing stage, so it costs the content creators nothing."
